What I'm working on right now

I have been busy busy lately. Really trying to finish projects that I start. It's hard when you don't have a lot of hours in the day, have a toddler who hangs on your leg all day, and stay up really late trying to get thing done! Here are a few things I've been working on......

                                                Toddler skirts for little girls age 2 and up!

That's part of my village Ambelos! Will have to do a walkthrough real soon!

I found this shirt in my bag of unfinished projects. It has been in there for over a year! Right away I took it to the sewing machine, and finished the ruffle on it. Took me 1 minute, and I waited a year to do it? What's wrong with me?! At least it is a 2T and will still fit my Maria!

                                 Ribbon closures on the back! I wanted to go with simple and easy!

            Lesson learned. Stop procrastinating! Now I will have to tackle Makis' scrapbook soon!

Village Walkthrough- Ireon

Here it is, a long overdue post on Ireon Village! I visited Ireon back in November, so about 3 months ago, right after dropping my mom at the airport. It was around siesta time, so most of the streets were quiet, and tourist season is over so not much activity going on here!

A little information on Ireon...
Ireon has around 800 occupants, and is situated right on the sea. There is a beach that runs alongside the village, and there is also a popular beach called "Pappas Beach" nearby. Every summer, musicians, and bands come here and have a rock festival. But the most famous thing Ireon is known for is of course the temple of Hera, which is right on the outskirts of the village. I am very familiar with this area because my aunt has olive trees right next to the entrance of the temple and I have spent many days picking olives in this area!

A little info on Hera...
In Greek mythology, the beautiful goddess Hera was queen of the Greek gods and the wife of Zeus, the king. Hera was goddess of marriage and childbirth. Since Hera's husband was Zeus, king not only of gods, but of philanderers, Hera spent a lot of time in Greek mythology angry with Zeus. So Hera is described as jealous and quarrelsome.

Right as you enter Ireon's parking lot, this is the first bar you come across.

Walking along the seafront there are many bars and restaurants.

I like that they have a playground. Very cool!

I didn't get the name of this church. I wish church's had names written outside. Or maybe they do and I just didn't see it.

Apartments everwhere, and because Ireon is flat, it reminded me of a very mini Athens.

I DID like this hotel, and the cactus out front.

There were too many apartment style houses for my liking. I DID see an old house and took a picture, but I can't seem to find it, darn it!
