Stavrinides Village is about 2 kilometers from my village, Ambelos. It sits at an altitude of about 400 meters above sea level, and has about only 20 permanent residents. My dad was here for the summer and we would walk the 2 kilometers almost every day and sit in the taverna afterwards and have a drink. The views are breathtaking and the atmosphere is peaceful and very quiet!

The church in the cemetery, and boxes of people's bones that were dug up. It took me a second to realize that's what it was! |

My dad and I decided people probably live here because the plants were watered! |

One of the few people we saw on our walk! |

I looked inside and it looked like maybe it was a cafenio or bakery, not sure. |

One of the many deserted houses. |

The infamous (to us Ambelos and Stavrinides people) The "Owl Nest Club"!!! Many memories and good times! |
